I do not own this. |
I could whisper your name a thousand times on my tongue
And like a lisp you would follow.
My thoughts,
My passion,
My heartache.
I miss the heavy steps of your heartbeat,
The clarity of your
breathing,
And the smell of your skin.
I miss the way you
grapple me,
You are the confessional, expel my sins.
I miss the way your voice baritones within,
The gentle thing you did to me when your lips pressed above
my chin.
I miss the way your body looks,
The taper of your nose,
The strength in your beautiful arms
And all the stories you had told.
I miss you like a firefly; I miss you like a piece of gold.
I miss you like spilled ice cream; I’ll miss you when I’m
old.
It’s really just not the same without you.
My food tastes different,
No man is the same man, the same man as you.
And it is quite a shame that things must be this way.
But for you my heart remains for a time, until it dies
again.
I’ll miss you when the morning comes.
I’ll miss you when it rains.
I’ll miss you when my lips are shut and my fingers remain
tame.
I’ll miss you for tomorrow.
I’ll miss you for today.
A week, a year, a time from now,
I’ll deliberately be in pain
Like the humming heat of my skin you resonate around me.
I’ll miss you until my heart grows cold.
For I have lost again.
I miss you so much.
I love you.
