Where has the time gone?

She said she would be back slightly before the dawn.

"Wrung out hair and muddy boots, where have you gone to my friend?"

"I trekked the river, went through hell and back." She handed me a sparkling gem that protruded from a stone.

My, my, what a jewel to find and she vanished again.

Leaving with me her torn shirt and a bra that couldn't hold more than a couple pebbles.

Where have you gone to again my friend?

She said she would return slightly after ten.

"You've cut your hair and sealed off your breasts, what has happened now?"

"I ventured into buddhism and forgave my past." She handed to me a velvet bag full of golden coins.

What could I possibly do with this? I have no need for such a thing, I pondered about her hours in meditation and noticed that she had vanished once again.

With me she had quickly left her robes and used adhesive bandages.

In the midst of watching the sunset I had realized she would be back again.

"Hello my dear, where have you traveled this time?"

She stared at me with a puzzled look. "I've been here all along, but I'm quite sure you have been the one who was gone."

And I scowled at her and shook my head. "But you returned from a temple not too long ago, and before that you had searched far and wide for jewels in swollen caves."

She lifted her hands and placed them on the glass that brought reality to light. "You've been daydreaming during my entire visit." She sighed and said she would return again.

I stared at her as she stood up and walked away, looking around I realized that I wasn't the only one attired in orange garb.
