Horror and Humanity

'Tis almost tragic how we humans can corrupt ourselves. Its almost quiet frightening how we can choose to sever parts of ourselves to the undying mercy of others found around us. It's all seemingly a suicidal war song-- this object or rather this illusion of life that we endure on our home planet-- earth.

I have found myself greatly amused with the such things of macabre and horror amongst my years of life. I indulge myself in terror filled treats and make living seem like a Halloween filled time everyday. I enjoy torturing others with my freaky tendencies or words of demonizing concubines. Yet with the things I've read, watched, played, and listened to over the years... Now I come to wonder-- what triggers people to create such artistic amulets? What childhood experiences embrace a person to screen write something terrible? Why are people so attracted to others being hurt? Does it satisfy our need stop our transformation into full-blown murderers?

It sends tingles down my spine-- the sight of someone disemboweling themselves or gouging their own eyes out. I shudder to a song that sounds so good but it just so scary. I get goosebumps when I play a game that makes your idea of the devil materialize.

And then I wonder-- is it truly human nature to want to see another person in demise? We seem to feel so triumphant when we are standing above weaklings with our blooded boots upon their faces. We are a terrible example of what the human race should be, why? Simple, we deny what we really are. We lie to ourselves and refuse to tell our children the truth. We are all naturally insane, yet most of us decided to make fiction a truth. Most people are known to idealize a figment of their imaginations because they need something to look up to, something to look forward to, when all together they are driving in circles around a green light that never turns red.

Life is a fictitious centerpiece on what we are mentioned to be. We all enjoy the sight of death even if it is not literally-- it could possibly be the ability to rise above competition or to even stare a poor man dead in the eyes, smile, and walk away.

And I wonder-- are we all human if we are insane?

Happy Halloween readers.
