And I ask: Why Cannot Life Go on Forever?

I will not cry when I ask this question but I will think. I will have you, my reader think.
And thus I argued with my brother as to why we should chose to live life instead of planning to end it all together.

"That's why I'm hoping for 2012, we all die." He said with a smile.
"Your an idiot," She said looking at him with an angered despair.
"And a new beginning starts," He smiled and looked away.
"We're not going to die, the planets are just going to align..." She rolled her eyes and flattened an angry pout against her lips. "It happens every how many years... I dunno, besides I might be off but we're over 2  million miles away from the black hole that everyone is so afraid of..." She threw up her hands. "Our best bet is underground if the case comes where we'll need it." She glared at him after her most intelligent answer. "Why? Why chose to die?"
"It seems better." He looked at her with pained eyes.
"Is that really how you think? It seems better you say?" Standing up she looked down at him before walking away in disgust. "Dude,  thats like sounding racist and saying the world would be better if there we're no black people, asians, whites, so on." She looked at him almost as if having regretted saying such words. "As mean as it may sound, or as cruel as you'll find it, I really don't care who dies first, who lives... as long as I live. This is slightly true." She turned away from him.
"Slightly?" He looked at her with dead eyes, he folded his hands and pressured his arms against his knees.
"Yeah..." Sighing she looked past his eyes, "Slightly... I'll tell you why,"
"Because there's so much ignorance and destruction?" Cutting her off, "People are killing each other already as it is!" Flamed he stood up and grabbed her shoulders with force. "Why not everyone die?!" His eyes watered with anger.
She laughed at him with a golden grin, "But that will never change!" She placed her hands on his shoulders, they looked as if they we're trying to push each other away. "So... the animals that have war daily have no comparison to humans?" She tilted her head like a raven, her eyes became dark. "We are all irresponsible in our own way," With an evil grin her tilted head seemed to luminesce darkness. "But that doesn't mean we must all die... What if we do? And the world freezes over? What new life is there to look forward to if as they believe--there is no man to bring us back?" She removed her hands as if a reaction to her own words. "What if the god that they believe in and that they praise will bring us back and set us to live again like flameless matches. How sure are they that we will come back at all?" She laughed through her teeth, "Thats like people who have said they've 'SEEN THE LIGHT', what fucking light? You've stared at the sun too long." They couldn't help but laugh at this.
"Even if there is no return... I just think humans aren't really advanced enough to live life." He sighed with pained eyes once again.
She squinted at him, "Then I'm mating with an alien."
"Why are we fighting to live if we're just living to die anyways?" He ignored what she had just said.
"Them dudes be going at high speed." She laughed. He laughed. They both laughed. "Thats like saying why celebrate our birthday when in reality we are celebrating our deaths."
"Exactly."
"You know." She looked out the window.
"Its a year closer to death." He looked at her.
"Like... I think about it... If we do die... and return, we'll be more advanced ya know?" She twisted her head at him for a congested response. "But the thing is... we can never pause war, why? Because we are all born with emotions, there will always be someone to ruin something and thus is why I challenge  your idea of 'Why fight to live if we are just living to die.' I dare you to look for something somewhere, where there are no battles, no arguments for who needs to dominate who or why. Conflict will always be a part of life, if there is none then why live? Why live when you have nothing to challenge?" She looked at him and laughed sarcastically. "I mean seriously look at our horoscope signs! Half the people that fight, they really fight because, and I bet you!" she said with a cynical cat like grin, "Their signs don't match! Or they are the same sign and they are in competition with one another!" She stood laughing and crinkling her fingers in the air as if playing a haunted air piano. "SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE TO ME?! NOW I'M RANTING, YOU WHORE!" She laughed. He laughed. They laughed.

And then I say Why cannot life go on forever? Why must we fight to live? Why cannot death be undone? Only for a moment in time, no more bodies will be found in our gardens. I have realized to be myself I can see the world, but in the end the world I see is the wrong one. The wrong world I grew to fall in love with. I've fell into a dreaming state where I can never find a true way out. It pains my mind to hear of a death that is so near. I'll admit I've been happy this month, so happy that it radiates on those around me... am I really one to change others? It's crazy I swear, but yeah... It has made me wonder: could my happiness be affecting those who were originally happy to die and suffer?
And then I think.
April Showers Bring May Flowers... Maybe those flowers grow because people die in May.

And I ask: Why Cannot Life Go on Forever?
I will not cry. I promise.
