The water licks my face as I move out of pace,
Am I sinking or am I floating?
The essence of wanting this anticipation,
Has left me sunken here, stuck in waiting.
I open my eyes but can’t see a thing,
Am I swimming or am I floating?
I feel your presence but cannot touch you,
I know I hear you but cannot fear you.
I feel you now; we’re here together always and forever,
Your green eyes caress my face,
A sweet smile so lost and gone,
I bubble up and sink so long,
I cannot feel you, I am turning blue.
Yet I awake from the bathtub, head in your hands.
